Redbuds beginning to bloom in our yard

Spring is in the Air and it’s almost time to hit the road!

Today is the first day of spring.  The redbuds, dogwoods, and cherry trees have started to blossom, the birds are singing, the sun is warming the earth, and most importantly… the road is calling.  After sitting out the winter in storage, the motorcoach is almost ready to go, and we are too!

The Lord has blessed us with another year, and another opportunity to experience a smidgen of his grand creation. In addition to traveling to new places, and meeting new friends, we will be traveling with our newest family member, Camper.

Our first RV travel outing this year will take place in April. We will be heading back to our familiar stomping ground at Clemson University for a special weekend. We will be gathering on campus with some of our RV friends from the Family Motor Coach Association Clemson IPTAY Chapter for fellowship and activities.

The weekend will start with the All In Team Foundation’s second annual “All-In-Ball” at the Madren Conference Center Pavilion on the Clemson University campus. The event will raise funds for the foundation’s activities and will have many current and former Clemson athletic standouts in attendance. The following morning will be breakfast with our friends and some relaxation. The afternoon will be our first look at the Clemson football team during the annual “Orange and White” spring football game. Following a quick evening cookout we will be at Kingsmore Stadium to watch Clemson’s baseball team take on Maryland. If the evening weather doesn’t agree, we can go indoors and enjoy the great singing of Tigeroar during their spring concert in the Brooks Center.

It is highly probable that the campus will be crowded over the weekend. In addition to the activities mentioned above, there will be volleyball and tennis matches, and a country and jazz ground music weekend featuring the Zac Brown Band and other artists.

As always, we hope to see you down the road…
